Obituary for Kathryn L. Adams

Kathryn L. Adams, "Kathy", 67, of Newmanstown and formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 in her residence.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth P. and Kathryn E. (Moyer) Adams. She was a graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Kathy previously worked at Miller's 5 & 10 in Hamburg and last worked as an aide at the Hamburg Center. She enjoyed knitting preemie sweaters and bonnets for local hospitals and organizations. Kathy also collected toys for Toys For Tots; and knitted washcloths, donation proceeds from the sales to the Human Society.
Kathy is survived by her sisters: Molly A. (Adams) Brown, Newmastown and with whom she resided; Polly S. (Adams), wife of Jeff Bieber, Allentown; and Sally J. (Adams) Miller, in the Poconos; three brothers: Kenneth G. Adams, in Georgia; John F. Adams, West Hamburg; and James P. Adams, in Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her beloved dog: Mykle.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 6:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Humane Society of Berks Co., 1801 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.
