Carol A. Stewart, 65, of Windsor Twp., died Monday, January 7, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. She was the wife of David P. Stewart. They were married on August 24, 1963 and celebrated 49 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Betty E. (Fasig) Beeman, Hartwood, Virginia; and the late John L. Beeman. She worked for ten years as a secretary for The Salvation Army, Hamburg, until her retirement. She previously worked at Wright's Knitting Mill, Hamburg.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two sons: James D., husband of Lisa N. (Dietrich) Stewart, Kutztown; and Jason D. Stewart, Hamburg; one daughter: Tracy A. (Stewart), wife of Dean R. Henn, Tilden Twp.; three grandsons: Brandon R. Henn; Jeremy D. Henn; and Cobey D. Stewart; and one great-granddaughter: Peyton R. Henn. Carol is also survived by four brothers: Charles Weaver, Hartwood, VA; John L. Beeman, Temple; Jeffrey Beeman, Blandon; and Daniel Beeman, Kenhorst; and one sister: Susan Jancart, Hartwood, VA. Carol was predeceased by a grandson: Shane C. Stewart.
Services will be on Saturday at 1:00 pm from St. Paul's (Smoke) Lutheran Church, 2613 Old Route 22, Hamburg. Burial will follow in St. Paul's (Smoke) Cemetery, Windsor Twp. A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday at the church 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shane C.
