Anthony L. "Chip"  Savini
Anthony L. Savini, Jr, 72,. of Reading, passed away of natural causes on Oct 2, 2015 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jean M. (Harris) Savini. They were married February 24, 1967 and celebrated 48 years of marriage.
Born on January 17, 1943 in Erie, Pa, he was the son of late Anthony L. & Nicolina M.(Agostini) Savini. A 1960 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Anthony was a veteran, the owner of the Berkley Inn for 35 years and also the owner of “Mr. Chip’s” nightclub in Bethlehem. Most of Anthony’s adult life was spent playing and coaching Men’s Major Fastpitch Softball.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Jean, Anthony is survived by his daughter Lisa G. Wagonseller of Leesport, wife of Kevin L. Wagonseller; sons, Mark Savini of Leesport and Steve Savini. Anthony was predeceased by his daughter Tara J. Castellano wife of Ron Castellano. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Mark, Bryn, Angie, Nicholas, Jack, Alex and Steven.
