Obituary for Brenda Hilda Moore

Brenda Hilda Moore
Brenda Hilda Moore was peacefully called on March 22, 2016, to serve as one of the Lord’s heavenly angels. Brenda was born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 24, 1946. She was the second of two children to John and Dora Moore. Brenda had been a resident of the Hamburg Center since February 1, 1965. Brenda was known to many for her vibrant and colorful personality. She loved her cookies, coffee, and light switches. To know Brenda, was to love Brenda unconditionally.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dora A. Moore; and brother Billy Parker. Brenda is survived by her sister Leona (James) Mills; nieces Terry (Myles) Dixon and Cheryl (Amadou) Guédé; nephew Richard (Jacqueline) Smith; and great-nephew Corey Smith.

The family wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to all the Hamburg Center’s staff and caregivers throughout the years for their dedicated support, care, and love for Brenda. As Brenda became a part of your family, you, too, became part of ours. To Ann Marie Andracchio, words cannot begin to describe the care and compassion that you provided to Brenda, and her family. We are incredibly gracious and humbled.

Services for Brenda will be held today, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:00 am from the Hamburg Center Auditorium. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:00 am. Burial will be on Thursday in Roselawn Memory Gardens in Glen Allen, Virginia. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.

God took you in his loving arms. He saw you needed rest. His garden must be beautiful. For He only takes the best
