Obituary for Bret M. Hansley Jr.
Bret M. Hansley, Jr., 31, of Centre Twp., passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was the husband of Cathryn M. (Levan) Hansley. They were married on October 22, 2005 and celebrated ten years of marriage.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Bret A., Sr. and Melissa A. (Hartman) Hansley of Pottstown. Bret was a graduate of Pottsgrove High School. He worked as a crane operator for Allan Myers Company; and loved working on the family farm. He enjoyed camping and was an excellent carpenter.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his children: Makenzie, Taylor, Dakota, Kylee and Tanner Hansley. Bret is also survived by three brothers: Shane A. Hansley, Macungie; Travis S. Hansley, Boyertown; and Austin L. Hansley, Oley; three sisters: Shannon M. (Hansley) Good, Oley; Amber L. Hansley, Pottsville; and Devin R. Hansley, Pottstown; several nieces and nephews; his paternal grandmother: Margaret Hansley, Boyertown; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Paul and Shirley Levan, Tilden Twp.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Viewpoint Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Thursday 6:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday 10:00 to 11:00 am. The family requests that guests dress casually for the services. The family will be establishing a fund for Bret's children. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533 for the fund.
