Obituary for H.Richard Hanson

H. Richard Hanson, 84, of Centre Twp., died Sunday, May 22, 2016 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. He was the husband of Sharon C. (Becker) Hanson. They were married October 13, 1962 and celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Born in Stony Creek Mills, he was the son of the late Raymond and Anne E. (Bitto) Hanson. Richard graduated from Ontelaunee High School in 1952, and then worked as a machine setter for Lucent Technologies for 30 years retiring in 1989. He was a member of Northkill Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son: Philip R. husband of Korinne M. (Labe) Hanson, Bernville; and two grandchildren: Nicholas, and April. He was predeceased by two sisters: Marie and Carol Ann.
Services will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman’s) Cemetery, Centre Twp.
