Obituary for Donna M. Denatala (Bowers)

Donna M. (Bowers) Adams Denatala, 59, of Windsor Twp., passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Anthony G. "Tony" Denatala, Jr. They were married on February 18, 2011 and celebrated five years of marriage. Donna was predeceased by her first husband, Deryl G. Adams, who died January 23, 2006.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Eleanor (Sambroski) Bowers. Donna was a 1975 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and a 1978 graduate of Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and certified case manager at the Reading Hospital for thirty-eight years. Donna was devoted to her job and put her heart and soul into her work at the hospital. She was a loving wife and mother; and loved all the family dogs.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one son: Troy M. Adams, Phoenixville; two step-sons: Joseph Denatala, and wife Sasha, Hamburg; and Anthony G. Denatala, III, and wife Amanda, in Georgia; one step-daughter: Heather (Denatala), wife of Jon Stein, Shoemakersville; and eight grandchildren; enjoying the time spent with Julian and Joey. Donna is also survived by a half-brother: Ronald Bowers; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Kathleen (Denatala) and Alan Burggraf; three nephews: Ryan, Michael, and Christian; great-nieces: Madison and Lilly; and great nephew: Logan.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Saturday, June 11 from 9:30 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605 or a Berks County animal rescue of your choice.
