Obituary for Bruce W. Rank
Bruce W. Rank, 55, of Leesport died Monday, December 26, 2016 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the fiance of Margaret A. Emerich.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Roland W. and Grace E. (Werley) Rank. He graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 1979. He was confirmed at Trinity United Church of Christ, Leesport. He worked as the head of maintance at Reading Bakery Systems, Robesonia for the past 9 years, and previously was a maintenance technician on X-Ray machines for RIS, Hamburg for 15+ years. Bruce was a life member of Perry Gun Club, a former firefighter and member of Union Fire Co. No. 1 of Leesport, and was active in Boy Scout Troop 160, Leesport when his boys were in scouts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on guns. He was in the process of building his own gunsmith business.
Surviving in addition to his fiance are two sons: Kyle W. Rank, Frostburg, MD, and Konnor S. Rank, Leesport; a daughter: Karlee D. Rank, Schuylkill Haven; a bother Dean A. Rank, Ontelaunee Twp.; and several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by an infant sister: Debbie A. Rank.
Services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Gernant's Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., at the above address, to assist with funeral expenses.
