Lillian I.  Riegel (Moyer)
Lillian I. Riegel, 100, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Pinebrook Assisted Living, Orwigsburg.
Born on July 23, 1916 on the family farm in Tulpehocken Township near Host Church, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Lillie (Fox) Moyer. Lillian worked for Bernville Wire Factory. She was a member of Host Church. Lillian enjoyed quilting, making crafts with beads, traveling, and gardening. She especially enjoyed eating candy and cheese balls.
Lillian is survived by her children: Glenn J. Riegel, and his wife Linda, Hamburg; and Irene J. (Riegel), wife of David D. Eyer, Key West, Florida; seven grandchildren: Michele (Eyer) O'Neil; Kathryn Eyer Lee, wife of Scott Lee; Kristine (Eyer), wife of Farhat Khairallah, MD; Douglas Eyer, and his wife Katrina; Michael Eyer, and his wife Esin; Tina (Riegel), wife of David Moll; and Tracy (Riegel), wife of Thomas Hojnowski; and eight-great-grandchildren: Hailey and Brooke Eyer; Patrick and Maya Khairallah; Jennifer, Matthew and Jacob Moll; and Tricia Hojnowski. She was predeceased by a daughter: Jean M. Riegel; and siblings: Irvin J. Moyer and Mary R. Moyer.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Host Cemetery, Tulpehocken Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to Host Church, 36 Host Church Road, Bernville, PA 19506.
